About Neat Neroli
I often notice prints on clothes. As a designer, there’s something really special about the idea of having your art on a piece of clothing—something personal that someone actually wears.
There are a lot of beautifully made, well-designed prints out there. But let’s focus on what inspired me: bad prints, awful typography, odd color choices. Even from big, established companies. So many times, the thought has crossed my mind: “If I were to design this myself, how would I do it?”
Neat Neroli Studio is exactly that: me designing it myself. My favorite part of design is typography. I love working with letters, serifs, the beauty of blank space, kerning, drop caps, thoughtful layouts and -collages. That’s what this collection is all about. Because well-crafted typography is, in my opinion, an art.
And then I realized something: I’d been searching for the perfect white t-shirt with a red print to match my makeup on days when I wore red lipstick. And the rest is history. The print “Rouge Rendezvous” started this project, followed by matching t-shirts for all my favorite makeup looks: red lipstick, black eyeliner, bronzy smokey eyes, and glowy, sparkling skin.
Whether you match Neat Neroli’s prints with makeup or not, I hope you’ll create new memories and stories wearing them—with confidence, for motivation, or with calm.
